Be nice to your janitors!

Well. Sometimes things don´t turn out the way you wan´t.

This monday I should do a routine change of grinding wheel on our skate sharpener. And when it was done I realized that the alignment of the grinding wheel was off. Way off.
I could not for my life get it to work.

Panic. 7 games left of the season. And no skate sharpener? It would not work. But I have to send ours off to service. 1-2 weeks of down time.

What to do?

I NEED a sharpener. Oh, look. The janitors in the arena have one. Can I talk to them into letting me use theirs during the time ours is off.

And yes, I can. Because we have the best janitors in Sweden. No problem at all.

To all of you equipment managers out there. Be nice to the janitors. Help them out. If it´s just to take out the goals before practice, or to help them dry down the skates after public practice. You will get it back, when you are in need of their help!
