It´s Christmas!

First of all I wan´t to wish all my friends out there a Merry Christmas. Me, myself is not celebrating. Taking the time to catch up on some administrative work. Making some decals for the team and doing some research for a future trip to Berlin.

But I also had some time to reflect on the season so far.

And there is one thing that is standing out.

Why is equipment always break when you have the least amount of time?
Of course you do regular maintenance when you have the time. But then it´s time for a game. Ice warmup is on the way. And there it is. Something breaks.
Not a stick or something else you have as a reserve. But something that just have to be fixed. Before the game starts. In 20 minutes.

Sometimes it´s something that is easy. Maybe some stitches or a piece of tape.

But sometimes it´s more complicated. And you have to fix something with almost no gear at all.

So far this season I haven´t had a girl that did not start in a game due to broken equipment. My wish for 2018 is that it will stay like that.

Refs have to fix things as well. On the picture it´s the ice. Ice are important. That´s why we have the best janitors there is. No broken ice here.
